I had em gobblin at 15yds last year & couldn't see them!! They do get loud. Wait til you hear one spittin & drummin!! That is bad right there.

That sounds like a great hunt to me...way to stick with it. A lot of guys around here end up leaving the woods if they aren't hearing any birds. Persistence and lots of patience - great job. And good luck on your next outing.
