I don't know about the rest of you guys but from what I've been hearing around here it's been a tough year. Not near as many birds taken.

I dare you Jim!!!  Come on show us how it's done.

Congrats on your bird too Chad.  A lot of the guys that I've talked to
say it's gettin tougher around here too.  Two of the guys that I hunt with
that got them, one first season, one second, the one came in quiet and behind him,
but he was able to swing and get the shot off. The other guy I think just happened
to be in between where they came from, and where they were goin to. 
Sunday mornin I heard some gobblin off the roost, probably a half mile away, my one
buddy happened to be sittin right by em just out of range, they flew down, hit the ground,
just kept walkin the other direction. He said he couldn't see any hens around, and they didn't
even pay attention to his callin.    I think I saw about the same number of
birds during deer huntin through fall and this winter, but I sure haven't seen much this spring yet.

Congrats on your first turkey Nailbender.     It's a nice one. 25 lbs is almost unheard of here.

Hey, congrats on the bird.  There does seem to be some concern and a protest may be made.  It appears that you may have used a camo gun and were drinking on the hunt.      We will be waiting on the story.

Nice bird Nailbender...I'm still trying. I went out today til 11:00 - cold and rainy again I heard one hen the entire day. This is the first day I didn't even hear one gobble. Oh well, maybe Saturday

Here's pics of my bird from this morning.  Not as big as the rest but I got one entered.   
Seasons gettin near the end and I still have to work on my boys birds this weekend.
Will have more pics of the bird and me in my other post as soon as my better half gets home this afternoon.

Gonna call it an 8 inch beard with both spurs being 3/4 inch.
