Took another tour today to see how the ole River was faring up here. Rumors going around that the Walleyes are stacking themselves in around the dam.
Problem is Rick223 and I cant seem to get our custody schedules in sync to make it out there.  :doh2:

But I did see that a couple spots closer inland are holding some pretty cool water temps yet.

But one of my shoreline honey holes for largemouth is opened up and basting nicely in the sun. :eyebrow:

Barry those are boat slips. I took the pics at the closest launch which also houses several seasonal cabins. The cabin owners tie their boats up in these.

Silencer

You got alot of backwater on that river ?  I dont dare to buck up against ours now, she's a ragin mean ole bitty that willl take ya in a heartbeat.

Hawks Feather

Walleye run has started up the Maumee River toward Toledo.  It was on the news last night - one solid string of fishermen (about 5 feet apart) as far as you could see in the news coverage.  They interviewed the DNR warden that is there watching and he said that he arrested several that had caught their 4 fish in the morning and then decided to come back in the afternoon.  Pretty stupid on their part.  The warden is even out in the open.  I guess they just think that he is blind.

All those pics were taken of the backwater Silencer, yeah there's slough after slough after slough. The main channel is what?......a mile wide? It's the Upper Mississippi River

That doesn't surprise me Jerry. These waters up here ares still in the high forties, the Walleye are going nuts, but were only allowed three.

Our river where we live is like a extremely large creek up this way until you get down tward Harrisburgh and Maryland.   Then she's a mile wide.. but up here she's just a overgrown creek that gets rapid fast.

I'm ready. I know the waters too cold yet, but I dont care.
I'm all new licensed and tackle box organized up. :laf:

Hopefully I can get out this weekend. Hopefully the server swap goes off completely without any hitches what so ever, and I get one day...one day...that's all I'm asking is one day.  :roflmao:

I'm hoping the server swap goes off without any hitches so I can go fishing Alvin :laf:
If it doesn't I'll be spending the weekend working on that.

You aint gonna get to me. This place will load every time you log on whether I'm setting in this chair or not.  So your ramblings definitely aren't going to be what keeps me from the river. :laf:
