Freezer meat. Nothing real special.

I tried to get the Big Dawg out this morning, but he was too tired and sore from basket ball practice so I left without him.

I was perusing the forum on my cell phone while sitting in my treestand when I noticed movement off to my left. I put my phone away and started getting ready. It was  coyote that had just crossed a saddle and was heading for the brush. I tried some lip squeeks to no avail so after he had been gone for a while, I pulled out my THO cotton tail call and gave that a whirl. It was not to be. Not 5 minutes after I had given up on the yote, this old girl came hopping by at 10 yds, so I whacked her for some cube steak.

I was only about  3.5 miles from the house, so I hiked drove my ranger back and picked up the kids so they could learn a little about field dressing a deer. fortunatly for Big Dawg I could get the Polaris within just a few yards of the deer.

Great looking crew to pull a hide with  .  My Icelanders were amazed at how many deer they saw after blowing on a coyote call.  Good job out there.

I was wondering if anyone would notice that. He wears alternates it with his Bengals hat except when hunting. The FnF hat gets to be the cover for hunting.

I'm not a bow hunter but, ANY deer with a bow is a trophy in my opinion. Nice job.

I don't know how I missed this thread but I did, maybe because I no longer hunt with a bow.  There are some nice deer posted here.  Congratulations to all.  Dave this is a big rack, have you scored him and/or do you use the antlers in making your calls? 

P.S.  Could you direct me to the post that showed your call shelf?  I remember seeing it but can't seem to find it...
