The lady attendant at the North Welcome Station told me where some were sighted.  But I have not personally seen them.

So far hog sign has been limited. Coyotes got most of the first ones droped in there, and I suspect they are doing a number on any left or trying to breed. Most sighting have been by rangers or accidental by hikers , campers and fishermen in hte area. It is not likely you will come across one.

But should you happen t see one you are legal in killing it. Be sure to get in contact with the rangers so the biologist can take samples from the animal. Do not field dress or anything until they have what they need . They would like very much to know what diseases if any these animals may have. By this testing it can tell them where the animals are coming from as well. The more info they can get on the jokers doing this damage to our wildlife the better the case they will have agains them. I kind of assumed they were the BIG ones.  After all I didn't see Diane signed up to attend, but if I would have seen her name I would have assumed the little ones and you WOULDN'T get to shoot.

HaMeR, during the summer the hogs are usually around the waters edge. They've probably moved inland now with the colder weather.

A good friend of mine had seen them up on the north end by the canal loop. He didn't give me a grid but my have it in his gps. I have also heard others say the same thing about um being on the north end.

Just take along a spotlight and don't get caught.  Uh, wait, you have a minor with you.  Just hand the light off to Kurtis and he can say that he is doing a geography lesson and needed to see the state.
