Since all this snow has been wetter than we normally get I decided to relieve some of the strain on my lower pitched roof. There was 16" at the gutter & 12" at the peak. But it's all gone now.

The roof in the right side of 1st pic.

The roof on the left side of the 1st pic.

The lower left corner of the left side. There is a pine tree there & it was laying on the roof adding extra weight. That corner was 6' x 4' with 3' of snow laying on it. That is right over my whirl pool tub!!  :shock2:

These are the icicles that were hanging from the gutter on the left side of the 1st pic. I knocked them down.

:whew:

I shoveled out 30 yards of drive way and a 20 yard path to the barn. The drive had about 18 inches of snow and the path was through a couple 3 foot drifts. Went for a walk down to my camp site and woods, the snow was waist deep in a lot of places.

I built a "Curling" run up on my roof.  Hoping the wife will take the initiative and get in some practice? :innocentwhistle:

HOLY SMOKES HaMer!  I see you have 7000 Posts!!!!  You ought to get some kind of award?

bambam

That looks like a lot of work HaMeR. Luckily the wind blew most of the snow off my roof, but the gutters are frozen full of ice. Just waiting for them to tear loose.........AGAIN.  :argh: :argh:

My legs are a screemming at me. And we have more snow falling now. :east the wind has laid a little.

:laf: :laf: @ Dave!! Curling run on the roof!! I've read two of your "curling" posts now & all I gotta say is you better be very leery if the Wife fixes breakfast tomorrow.  :eyebrownod:

bb-- It was a lot of work. Plus the 3-4" from the sidewalks. Plus the 3" from the sidewalks again a 1/2hr ago.  :laf:

You take it easy up there slag!! I didn't get to talk to you @ the LBL & if I make it next year I would like to set with you for a few.  :yoyo:

dd-- Thank You. My reward for hitting 7000 posts is that I got to meet some fine folks last weekend. And I gotta say I especially enjoyed shaking hands with one goofy Canadian!!

I took a couple more pics this evening at 8:45EST.

This 1st pic is for CCP. I told him this afternoon it was snowing purdy good. Here's what that looks like Richard.

The sidewalk out to the garage.

The view from the back door to the driveway.

Yip, cause if'n the wife was home we would be seeing action pictures. Either of Glenn on the roof shoveling or standing on the ground watching the neighbor kid shoveling the roof.  :innocentwhistle:
