I promised I would make a sound file of the tube call and here it is.

I make no claims to be an expert with a tube call but you can get an idea of what the ones I make sound like.

That sounds darn good Gene. But how do you play them. The physical part I guess I'm asking??

HaMer, you place your lower lip across the break between the latex and the half moon piece with the latex reed on top. Then you blow through the call and it operates basically like the mouth call. A tube call takes a little practice but is actually fairly easy to use. By cupping your hand around the call you can regulate the tone of the call just like when you use a reed hooter or similar call.

That would sure fool any turkey around here.  Good sound.
