Yep, I'm pretty sure it is illegal to shoot deer in the water.

In Kentucky it is illegal to pursue, chase or take deer, elk or bear while swimming. I think you would be okay taking one that is wading,

but I wouldn't want to wade in to recover it.

Of course, those guys were duck hunting and probably expected to get in the water anyway.

Thanks for clearing that up, Pat. I always thought if they were in the water they were safe. But not anymore............

Question though: What if they are just sort of treading water and not really swimming. OK to plug 'em??

The breast stroke...if they're doing the breast stroke you can take em. Cause they're just showing off anyway mainly.
