Ordered A Rock River Varmint EOP, 24" 1-12  for light loads. NM trigger, 6 position stock, lefty safety, ambi ergo grip.  Only 3 more months to go, out of 4.  I'd like to thank Jimmy Zumbo for making me take A closer look at the AR platform for A new predator rifle.
Any thoughts on the 1-12 twist?  ~KT

I'm assuming it's a 223?
It'll be okay for lighter bullets. (<55gr)  My 22Varminter is a 1-12 twist & 60grs & above won't shoot well in it. :noway:

Arkyyoter

My RRA EOP has a 20 inch Wilson air gauged barrel....all the NM stuff w/ Hogue front and rear...shoots LIGHTS FREAKIN' OUT!!!!! 60 gr Vmax shoots about .45-.60 depending on me.....you will love it!!

Yes, sir, it's A .223.  I had to get the 24" barrel to get the 1-12 twist for the 45-55 grain  ammo that I want to throw at predators.  I played with A Bushmaster Varmint Special at Cabelas and I didn't think 24" was too much for me.  Everyone seemed to like the RRA NM over other factory stuff, too.
I was about to order A lefty Savage LP .204, but like I said after reading up on all that Zumbo stuff. . .
Your right Joe- they are tack drivers. And what's another $200 anyways!
My wife got this version- "After 2 years of shooting I'll save 'nuf money on ammo to pay for that other $200!" :readthis: It worked.
One thing you'll never see me do is reload.   No coyote could tell the difference, and I enjoy family time too much.  Plus I have worked at Sierra Bullets in Sedalia, MO. . . spent too much time in front of A magnifying glass watching thousands of bullets go by. :madd:

kiyitec,
I don't think that Rock River Arms makes a bad weapon. I have a SS 16" Varmint barrel on my A4, that has a 1:9 twist.

I don't reload for my AR. The idea of looking for brass in the grass has no appeal to me. My A4 shoots both Winchester (white box) and UMC 45gr. JHP ammo, just fine.....1/2" groups at 100 yards.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

I suspect some day I'll end up with A 16" bull upper too, but first on the list is A true lefty, Stag.
Now if I can slide the "one lower with 10 uppers still being one gun" idea past the wife this will all work out! She put A cap on me- no more than will fit in the gun safe- right now I'm at 15 out of 24. :roflmao:  ~KT

I'm a Rock River Arms premier dealer, and have never had a complaint about the quality or accuracy of an RRA product. The 24" A4 / EOP is a little on the heavy side, other than that it is what an AR 15 should be. You'll love it.

Thanks Dan!
I am A known over analyzer, procrastinator, and pessimist.  All of which pointed me towards the aforementioned rifle.
Any chance you could put in A good word for me?  July 23rd is such A long ways away!  J/K  Dan!
I am not too worried about the weight, but I would have opted for an 18" or maybe 16"in the 1-12 had it been available/made.  The way I figure it you'd lose about 4% velocity- that's something else A coyote wouldn't know the difference about.  At least out to 300yds w/ 40-55 grainers.  ~KT

KT....If the wife said only as many as the safe will hold, ARs come apart and would take up less room that way right? LOL
My wife said I could get one, but that I have to save for it. She know's I can't save money. Evil to the bone sometimes she is.... :pout:

If the weight gets the best of you, I can shorten the barrel and flute it. You will have it before July, I'm getting them in 5-6 weeks. Good Luck.

Yeah I hear ya. Mine seperates my money from the account. Me and Cam have to many guns per her, but when I say something about all the clothes she has...well, lets say I end up cooking when stuff like that comes out of my mouth.

Oh I can say me and Cam would never starve to death for sure. And I bought her a dish washer but get chewed out for putting one plate in it to wash. I told her that's what it was bought for and I don't do dishes in the sink. Then I do them in the sink just before the back swing with the skillet.....
If ya really want to get them going off, if you have younger children, do like I did when Cam was about two or three. He would get in the car to go somewhere and end up in the front seat. And tell her "boy's in the front....Girls in the back"  That never went that well either for some reason.  She's a good egg and puts up with alot of crap from me and Cam, so she can stay for a while longer I guess.

you will love your RRA, they are great rifles.

I have a Bushmaster and I love mine. I am not totally crazy about the .223 round yet. Maybe it is lack of experiance but I don't like the huge arc it has during flight.

I keep thinking about gettind a .204 upper for my lower but I already have .204 bolt gun.
