15-20mph winds here all day with gusts up to 50mph is what I heard for today. Then more rain this afternoon. Looks like a great day to stay in the house.  :yoyo: :yoyo:   I might try to venture out to the garage later for some woodworking if I can drag my lazy rearend out between wind gusts. Well,, that & if it's still out there when I head out that way.  :laf: :laf:

After my post yesterday we continued to get pounded.  Lucky for me and my I
Immediate  family no injuries.  One of the guys at work has lost a sister and brother in law.

We have no power for 4 to 5 days. I and the wife jumped in the car and headed out. Think we will spend some time in the smokies.  Could not find any gas until we were north of Chattonooga.  We stopped hereat the ihop for a meal and will keep going.  I feel blessed after seeing all the devastation that others right around our neighborhood have been through.

Sent this from my phone.

Mowed the yard today and had standing water in about half of it.

Made another attempt to go turkey hunting yesterday morning.   Until I ran in to this:

There is water in places there hasn't been water before.   They are saying the river is anywhere from 12 to 20 feet over flood stage depending on where you measure.

Gonna have to pull the boat Semp.  :rolleye:  It's not nearly that bad up here. We're lucky in that the worst part is that it's just getting annoying. Sunshine, rain, & sunshine here between 6:30AM & noon.  :doh2:

On a lighter note...if it's warm enough that looks like a good spot temporarily for some pan fish. :eyebrow:
