Is there anyway to uninstall IE?  Or do you have to leave it installed and just not use it.

You can uninstall it. I did mine. They dont make it easy to do so, I'll tell ya that. Because they made it a core component to Windows.

My suggestion would be to just leave it and not use it.

One more thing I like about Fire Fox is how simple it is to change viewable text size. Go to "tools", click "options"... a window will open. Click "content", scroll down to fonts (your ABC's, for us southern folk) and colors, click on "size". From there you can select how large or small to make your ABC's.       

You can also do this by simply click on the screen then press ( Ctrl / + ) to increase size  ( Ctrl / - ) to decrease size.
