As you know my wife busted up her shoulder pretty darn good.  Without surgery she will have limited movement, with surgery it will not be much better.  The pain is terrible and she can barely move.  Kinda figured my hunting this fall would have to wait until next year.  Our daughter stopped by tonight and informed us that her husband had to go on a business trip and is leaving Sunday afternoon.  Then she said "Dad if you want to go calling a few days next week I can stay over and care for mom."  I knew that all the times I took her calling as a kid would pay off.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

I can understand where your wife is at right now.   I'm recovering from my second rotator cuff surgery, one last year and one last June.  I am not doing this again.   :nono:

I would think she will need the surgery and then lots of therapy to get as much range of motion back as possible.  Reducing the pain is paramount.  And I can tell you that percocets and lortabs only compound the problem and are not the answer.

That is great that your daughter is willing to help out.  You have a good family and something to be proud of.

I've taken my three since they were knee high. My boys naturally love the outdoors, baby girl is losing interest and becoming more girlie acting everyday. I think the problems with society today is this first step of family bonds were never established. My kids are just as happy helping others out of a jam as they are each other. It starts at home folks! You put nothing in it, how can you expect anything back? I thank God for my kids everyday. This morning I'll thank him for JohnP and his family. Had it not been for the home schooling his daughter received she'd never offered to help her ailing mother and give poor ol' dad a break. Congrats on a job well done JohnP! Now go hunting and celebrate a little.....

Yeah in todays age that's pretty much unheard of. You done a good job Paul.

Here's to wishing the wife a speedy recovery.

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

Thank you, one and all.  Your right Semp the percocets nor any of the other pain killers seem to be working either.
