Caught a Mink today.This is the first one I caught since I was in my teens so I thought I would share it with ya

We used to skin out the road kill minks and sell em for gas money to go grouse hunting......I have not seen any for a good long time myself.

I didn't think you would notice the kinda trap I used  :roflmao:

I knew the mink was there and I set 2 connibear traps about  a foot apart in the run I had them set for 2 weeks and couldn't catch it.I snapped them for a couple days then reset and surprise,I am so proud of myself  :biggrin:

Bill,

Congratulations on the mink.  I can't believe that you used a cement block to catch it, but I can understand you trying to cover it up by saying you used a connibear.  After all if you secret trap gets out everyone will be using it and there won't be any fur left to smash, I mean trap.

The cement block traps are a pain to carry and set but are very effective  :nono:

I can understand why folks aren't using them anymore  :laf:

There is always the brick trap.  Its lighter but not as effective.

al, we picked up 2 last season right at the mineral wells exit on 77.


good job on the mink. was it male or female?.

Thanks Jerry. Every now & then I can control that lazy eye & see everything in the picture at once.  :laf: :laf:  I don't think too many others noticed what I meant either.  :roflmao:

Glen I was sure hoping you wouldn't catch on to my secrets on the way I trap  :laf:
Now the the ol block trap has been revealed I guess I will have to change my methods  :roflmao:
