My oldest boy went with my brother, my middle boy opted to go to basketball practice then a hockey game, but the youngest wanted dad to take him bowling then hunting. :sneer:  My foot's feeling much better but I didnt want to push it so I took him where it was easy for the both of us down on the river flats where I'd seen some decent deer sign during duck season.  Set up for an hour rattling and grunting, No, we didnt get anything but he still learned to read sign, what fox tracks look like, etc etc etc...  a great day in my book.  Right now we're home and he's eating pizza and drinkin hot chocolate.  Gonna try to get him back out for another hour here.

He wanted to share this beaver "Bite" with ya'll

To cooool Vic.  I really like the color he is wearing and even if it's not the law it's the best way to help insure some safety for your children :yoyo:

Its the law down here Barry, the only things you can hunt w/out orange is predators, crows, waterfowl, spring gobbler, doves, and deer archery.   Everything else requires a certain amount of orange pending on the seasons and what not.   I think I'd have him wearing it anyhow, too many crazy people out there.

That's great Vic.  :yoyo: :yoyo: Good luck to both of you.

Good stuff for sure. We love to watch the younguns starting off on their first hunts and kills. It just keeps getting better from there. Good luck to the both of you! :yoyo:

Great pics and story.  The beaver tree photo is the one that nails it for me.  He's interested in in the world around him, especially outdoor stuff, not just in dead deer.   He will do.  You're both fortunate to be in the same family.

That's what really makes a good day a great day.  :yoyo:
