We had some fun today

Had the little man out there with me taking care of the doe my brother gave me yesterday. I dont have a decent tree or hanging hooks on the porch so I showed him the only other way skin it up on the picnic table

Here's our butcher shop with part the hide off

Dad, we can cook this up like a huge chicken wing

My helper and me peeling off the backstraps

best make us some good lunch now that we worked

MMMMmmmmmmmm GOOD !!! fresh loin n onions !!!

I think lunch lasted a good 3 minutes and it was gone

Looks like some good eatin' Vic.

I didn't really have a good place to hang deer while I butchered them either. But I figured out if I tie their neck to a ladder, then lean it up against my shed, they hang good enough to do the job.

Looks like the little guy is really enjoying it.

I saw a guy who had one of these and it worked pretty well. I think you can find them a little cheaper on Ebay.

I carry a rope and pulley with me and hang a lot of them right there in the woods..........skin em........debone em ......and put in plastic bags and in my back pack.......Then I tie up the hide....head attached...... and carry it as this is what I need for the check station........then I get $4 for the hide.(Large)

A picnic table is terrific for such skinning work. We've skinned WAY more on the ground than hung up, and boned a lot of those though it is easier and handier on a table like that. I boned out most of two antelope on a picnic table this Fall, and much of one buck on the ground. My back is starting to talk to me nowadays by the time I get a deer skinned on the ground.
