"I've never made a call that I intended to be a "Shelf sitter".  But in your case, I'll greatfully make an exception. LOL!

Dave"

I'll never have a call that was intended to be a "Shelf sitter".  When I receive a new custom call it goes through a process.  It first goes into my holding pen (shoe box) along with any other custom call I might have at the time.  When I go calling I take a call out, first in - first out.  If I call a predator in that call makes it to the shelf, if not it goes back in the holding pen.  When the holding pen is empty I go to the shelf and grab any caller that strikes my fancy at the moment.  Yesterday morning I awoke feeling pretty good, no pain, so I grabbed a rifle and your call off "The Shelf"  The result was, once again:

Please feel free to enlarge this one, frame it and hang it in your shop:

I'll be checking the mailbox every morning for my Pro Staff hat and certificate verifying my Pro Staff status.

P.S.
I'm back on crutches again this morning.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

John The fact you got a coyote is great.  Showing these guys that a pretty call did it is fantastic. :bowingsmilie:  Keep after them when you can.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Frogman

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

Hawks Feather

Glad to see that you were able to get out and enjoy yourself.  Dave's calls do work well.

Be careful mentioning the "Crutches" John, before ya know it it'll be the newest piece of Predator Calling Gear being pawned of at PM for a quick buck, and you'll never get the credit for them.  :nono:

Nice call in,

John,

Sorry I did not see this right away.  Got my son home from college (Spring Break).  So my computer time has been limited, being that the boy has to correspond with his Face Book buddies. LOL!

Once again, I'm glad to make "The Shelf"...I'm sorry that it's taking a toll on your feet.  I know the coyotes and bobcats in your area cringe everytime a call is delivered to your house.  Just don't over do it on your feet!  Or like Al said, look at getting a small motorized vehicle to help you get access and save wear and tear on the body?

As for the Pro Staff?  If I was to believe in such folly, you and a few others would surely be inducted into it! :congrats:  One of these days I'm going to have Jim C. add some "Hunting photos" to my website.  So you'll surely be honored there my friend!  In the meantime, try and heal up.  And thanks again for the honor.

Dave

Glad to see you are getting out, John.

Take a look at this new ATV for 2010 from Polaris.   All electric, low noise, AWD and a 50 mile range.  Might be the ticket to save your feet and still get you out looking for wiley.

I hate to hear the hunting trip put you back on the walking sticks Mr John. From the looks of the red stuff on the fur - them aching feet and legs ain't affecting your aim none. Congrats on the fur down, you sure make it look easy.  :congrats:

vvarmitr

Todd might be on to something.  :wo:
Maybe w/ a simple nut & bolt you could turn those walking-sticks into cross-sticks.

Or as CCP would prefer :iroll: Use one as a mono-pod.

You could even use 'em to carry gear.  Attach your gun to one so that weight won't be on your feet & have a pouch  on the other to carry your calls & such. :readthis:

Don't forget you'll want to camo 'em out too. :eyebrow:

Congrats nice shootin'!  :highclap:  :congrats:  :highclap:
