Slow days harvest

The bottom of the river is starting expose itself up here. Please send rain.

The two pics with the yellow looking bass, caught those in a small body of water that gets filled up when the river floods, and then when the water goes down the fish get land locked.
The guy that dredged the slough to allow it to do this has been trying to fill it back in for some reason. As you can see by the piles of river rock, left by what appears to be a dump truck.

I wish i would have taken pics of the Trax tracks cause I still have no idea how he was able to get anything in there to dump that rock.
In fact it's 40 foot deep in some places, with pure sand banks. Dangerous as all get out to be walking around cause the straight banks start sliding in from you walking and she goes FAST.
I heard Kyle yelling, looked up and he was laying half in the water and half out trying to use his body like a snake to get back out without collapsing any more bank around him.










These we picked up about 14 miles down river. Much better.

I worked all day.
In fact I havent been off since February.
Knowing that when the water warms the bass will be spawning, I hit the river 4 times a week the minute I punch out.
Pick up the kid....fish for a couple hours and head for home.

yeah!...plus I didnt have my yard stick with me at the time.
I havent been measuring any of them Barry. The waters still cold and I'm more or less killing time waiting for the spawn. I havent even kept anything yet, all catch and release and I normally haul em all home and fillet em out.
Not to mention I wont enter any of them in the contest anyway, never have I dont think. The contest is for the members.

Thats just the way it's always been, and it's nobody's decision but mine.

I take a lot of pride, believe it or not, in the fact that this place can be so successful without charging money for everything every time ya turn around, like the other insignificant board. And without all the insecurities of someone putting a link in their sigline and stealing all the members with it

The forum is here because I love doing this, and knowing that so many people can benefit from it, I dont have a problem footing the running expenses and maintaining the scripts. I'm providing for people and they arent investing anything but their time.

So for me to have a fishing contest on my forum and actually fall into any certain position to win the purse or part of the purse, would not only kindle suspicion, it would go against everything that I feel I stand for, and make me feel completely out of place.

Jim as I have sat down with you to dine a meal [I bought of course] and was invited into your home[not this one] do you think I for one don't know this about you .  I think I can freely talk for all on this board when I say you are above suspicion .  Why not join in the fun of a contest cause you never know you could actually come in third or better[I have the third thingy sewed up].  Imagine if you will the [stuff kept in that vault I found on my trip to the LBL] hitting the fan if someone were to be stupid enough to accuse you of rigging a fun contest for the sake of $75 [come to think of it I kinda/sorta would like to see that one myself].  [L] you wouldn't sell your soul for so lowly a sum .  Being one of the guys who enjoys outside should include you not exclude you just cause your a freaking geek too .
