I was at an auction today and bought a load of fishing equipment.  Got one of these things and I ain't seen one before. :shrug:





While checking out the equipment I found this wonderful fix.

OK so what do you use a fish scaling spoon for? Other than scaling fish, how do you use it?

Holding the spoon on its side and starting at the tail of the fish and working towards the head you scrape the scales off the fish they will fly every where

Looks like an ice cream scoop/shoe horn combination utensil but then again having never seen an ice cream scoop/shoehorn combination utensil I could be & probably an wrong.  :shrug:  I do hope they used an oily wood for the above mentioned wonderful fix.  :laf: :laf:

I see the wonderful fix also has a spare "wonder" part conveniently located at arms length for emergency use! (naturally, with spare wire)
