18 gallon cider cook it down
3 bushels of apples peeled and cored
12 pound of sugar
and a half pound of cinnamon
lots of heat time and stirring

Home made bread and home made butter topped with a bit of warm apple butter makes for a very good treat

you should try adding cinnamon oil to your butter.

the flavor is out of this world.

its in little bottles. its actually the flavoring used to make homemade hard candy.

if you decide to try it, take the butter off the fire and let it come down from a boil before you add it or itll just burn off as soon as you add it.

were gonna be making a kettle here ina couple weeks.

the apples right around  here are kinda scarce this year,in most places.

The cinnamon being in liquid form surely wouldn't ball up and would probably mix more thoroughly

We bought our apples at the orchard for the same reason

if you decide to try the liquid be sure and stir it real good after you do because if you dont the oil wont mix and will just lay on top of the butter in the kettle.

our kettle makes 28 quarts and we use between 2 and 3 bottles of oil to the kettle. use more or less depending on how much you like cinnamon.

i like it enough to taste real good but not burn my mpouth.

the bottles come in  little ounce or so bottles and here they are in the pharmacy at both walmart and krogers.

you just have to ask them for it. i think they have it there to keep em from gettin stolen because the bottles are real little.

they cost maybe a buck 50 or so.
mom bought em this year and i didnt ask her how much they were.

if you try the oil, let me know how you like it.
