Recently found a patch of ground within 30 minutes of the front door.

I've had the trail cams out for a couple days, and after tossing out a salt lick rock yesterday afternoon, traffic picked up!

This little guy will be "sausage" should he hang around for archery season beginning 10/02

Hard to see unless you enlarge the picture, but there's a grey fox and raccoon having a showdown!

Probably should back the cam up as the IR flash is quite bright and washes out the animals within 20 feet.

No shortage of wt doe on the property. Should have no problem filling the freezer this year.

Who you got hanging there  an alien :innocentwhistle:.
I say what I think not think what I say.

FOsteology

That be a 5 gallon bucket with a spinner dispensing some roasted soy beans to get some traffic going on the property.

FinsnFur

Pretty nice rack going in that second pic. I almost didnt even see him.

Yeah, looks like he was sneaking past. This is the only other picture my trail cam has taken of him. Hopefully I'll get a few more pictures so I can get get a better look at him. Rack is tall...... but looks a little narrow.

We have an antler restriction program in the county I'm hunting. Buck must have an outside spread of at least 13"
He looks like he would make the legal criteria..... but I want to get a better look in order to determine his age. If he's under 4, he'll walk.

OMG!!! Look at this TOAD !!! Double main beam and stickers galore.

Wish it were my patch of ground he was roaming.

Hawks Feather

Fos,

It looks like all the member of FnF will be headed your way to hunt.  When does the season start?

Everyone missed the disclaimer under the last picture!

I received the picture in an e-mail. After doing a bit of detective work, it appears this deer (along with 3-4 others) are in a deer pen (unsure of the size) somewhere here in Texas. "Pet deer" someone is raising and breeding. Unfortunately a common practice..... After blowing up the second image, it looks like to me that the deer at one time had an ear tag. You can see a nice red hole with hair missing around it in his right ear.

I posted that second picture on another hunting site and one of the guys picked up on that "hole" in the ear right away.  Still, it is a heck of a nice deer.  Goes to show what they can do if allowed to live awhile.

Missed the disclaimer!?
Well no chit we missed it, you used font small enough to write on a grain of rice. And then the rest of the post you used font bigger then the Denny's coloring book place mats. :laf:

Not only let them walk but to get racks like that they have to be fed High Power protein. cc
