Who can identify this man?
He's an FNF'er, who chooses to remain anonymous.   :wo:

Had him down for a hunt as our antlerless archery season is open, but asked him to try and lay off the fawns.  :readthis:
He got here in the early afternoon and we set up a stand for the eve. hunt.
I haven't shot (or even looked at) my bow, so I didn't go out.
He was up in the tree about 5 pm.
About 6 pm I see him walking back toward the house and hollered to Dante "Here comes Mr. 'FNF.'  He probably got one."  Dante asked if he could go down to meet him.  "Sure."

Well I see the arms going left to right, then pointing to the ground.  Then the action of a flat stone being skipped over the water.
A story is being told.  Yes, there's always a story.  :laf:

As they're getting closer I notice the shoulders starting to slump, and his head dropping into his chest.

"How'd ya do?"

"Wait, is that what I think it is?"   :doh2:

Yes it is.  And this is why he choose to wear tthe mask.
I promised I wouldn't reveal he secret identity, but what you guys do with this from here I have no control over.   :alscalls:   :alscalls:   :alscalls:

And as I type here, he is out for round two, or its twin.   :holdon:

KySongDog

That milk fed venison will be mighty fine eatin'.    :eyebrownod:

I hunt in a zone 1 in KY.  Unlimited does allowed.  So when I meat hunt, if its brown its down.    :laf:

I do try to avoid spotted fawns though.  :alscalls:

HuntnCarve

Who ever that Wilson fellow is, looks like he's practicing "sound management".  A mature doe will produce twins or triplets come Spring.. A young doe, will only produce a single fawn if she's even breed.. Leaving more deer in the future for said landowner and his son and daughter to harvest. :congrats:
The real story is... a single running deer came barreling down the woods spooked by (later learned), a happy go lucky lab...Said hunter stopped the deer with a "baaa" and within milliseconds, saw that is was bald (legal), and albiet grossly misjudging it's age and size.. Fired off a precision bolt in the seconds he had as the deer was starting to move...Ground shrinkage set in upon walkng up to the downed animal.  Not a proud moment, but one that had to be accepted.     In the meantime, the deer was tagged, butchered and put up in the freezer.
It was still a fine day afield with camera toting friend!

FnF Wilson!!  :laf: :laf:

If it's big enough to pull the trigger on it's big enough to put a tag on.

Man it's gotta be tough hitting those little critters without a scope & a deck railing to lean on.  :innocentwhistle:
