Made it across the county to set up at location X, the new hot spot.   One lone bird at daylight and Ryan makes a helluva 60 yd shot.  The goose sails across the pond/swamp and he's off to get it.  I told him he should've taken the boat but he walked lmao.... I could see him carrying on, swingin his arms, falling on his buttox.   He got back with the goose and pulled his back out, lol.. he sunk up to his waist in mud and was stuck.     4 other birds flew over high and never looked.   Feathers, poo, and goose sign everywhere but no birds  :wo:   Fresh human footprints around the edge makes me wonder if someone caught wind we were gonna hunt and spooked them.  ( i'd heard a neighbor liked them )

One's better than none.   We have enough to smoke up again this weekend.

Tryin out Ryans stealth boat

The walk back ( bet he wishes we brang the dogs at this point roflmao )

How he like his boat?  I'll be taking mine for anothe spin this weekend.

That sucks about the neighbor spooking off the birds.  It's either folks hate them things and want them gone, or they love them and treat em like pets.

hand call user primarily, but if you gotta use an e-caller, there ain't nothing that sounds better than a Wildlife Tech

Very sturdy, he was jumping around and rocking it, seemed to do real well.

You see the brick house in the background of the second pic ?   they're the ones that like them, the farm that gave us permish wants them outta there.

My theory is the farmer told the red house someone will be hunting there this week so leave them alone and they went and spooked em off.   I could be wrong but for all the sign and what the farmer had said about the numbers that were there all summer and fall something happened.

Look's like ya'll got some fall color's going on already up there, Where are you at??
