Bills Custom Calls

For as dry as it is I doubt the burn ban will be lifted till after the first snow stays on the ground for a couple days

I have heard two inches in one event will get the burn bans lifted.  We are getting about an inch today. Been raining a slow soaker all day without let up. Just this alone makes me feel a lot better about setting my saws down while in hte fields.

Drove down to my deer hunting area yesterday and saw a number of burned fields. Jimmie

We are having a little rain right now and they think we might get a FULL 1/4 inch.  It won't do much but slow the dust.

I don't know how much rain we got today but it finally stopped here right around 6:30. So 7 1/2hrs of a nice soaking rain for us will really help.

1.9 inches here.

About noon we had a real good down pour, lasted about 40 minutes. Wouldn't wanted it to have rainded like that for two hours straight but it all soaked in. Then it rained real slow the rest of the day. It finally stopped about 10:00PM here.

Any body else get any precep.?

Raining here too, I'll go stick a tape measure in it, in the morning, and let you know how much I got.  :innocentwhistle:
sometimes I wonder....is that getting closer..... then it hits me

I had a personal conflict the other day, now I'm not speaking to myself.... I'm getting lonesome

I met the girl of my dreams, I was the man of her dreams too.....she used the term "nightmares" though.

What a difference 20 days make!! I put a new pic right under the 1st one on the 1st page showing the water level now. We've had 2 big rain storms come thru with the last one being 11-30 & 12-1. No idea how much rain we got from those storms but the river has risen again. Now we have a light covering of snow everywhere.

Extreme water levels.

Most recent.

Just to the right of the above bridge support. Looks like the garage needs a float system under it.

See the tree on the far bank.

Now ya don't.

And last not but least this deer was about 60' off the road so naturally we got a pic.

Yeah the drought is long gone Barry. I have no idea what our annual rainfall is. I just know by the water levels when we need it & when we don't.

Not really Jim. We took those pics almost 2 weeks ago. the others were from Early Feb maybe??

We had a lot of snow mely on 2 different occasions & the ground was frozen real good. That meant all the water stayed on top & flooded some areas. It'll go back down. It always does.
