For some reason, I was thinking it was Purgatory Creek? That's what was tripping me up. He made some beautiful calls.

He was one I am sure. A very nice gentleman who made some very nice calls. He never got involved in the politics or power struggles between call makers. We conversed back and forth about calls years ago, and I turned him onto the Sorby Spiraling tool I was playing with back then. Then I sent him some wooden bands one day and he just took the two and went to town. I don't think anyone has ever duplicated his style. It was unique. I am lucky enough to have one of his calls in my collection. If he reads this, I hope he is doing well.

Yip, thats Joey. He's had a a baby girl and purchased a small farm and tends to some horses now. Kinda keeps him real busy.

Is a great person and I too am lucky enough to have one of his calls. He also had a promotion in the department and I am sure that is taking extra time too. But his little girl is a beauty and I am sure he is spending lots of time with her.

Awwww cut it out guys, you're makeing me feel all warm inside. Yes, I have been busy. Some days, it seems like the day's over before I even knew it started

Jerry was nice enough to shoot me the link to this thread. Being back here, and seeing old names makes me sure want to dust off the bench in my shop. Maybe I'll have to do that. Afterall I do have HEAPS, and I mean HEAPS of wood for call makig that I aquired before life got so busy.

Al and Jerry, heck you're the guys who make the nice calls! We put up a new shelf in our home and the wife said, "I suppose you can put ONE (im my head i'm already thinking, one, One, ONE??? What do you mean ONE?) call up there until we get a nice cabinet for all of them". So I picked 4 of them 1 bonker, 1 coco stippled THO, 1 fancy fancy THO, and 1 curley maple Hawk. Now she just laughes and shakes her head... But hey I built the dang shelf LOL

No seriously, I've got this coming Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue off and I'm going to make it a top priority to get out to the shop. I've had a skeletonized A call in the works for what seems like more than a year now. Better get on it.

And the website, well that's just kind of a weird story... That's wayyyy to long for this post. But here's a pic of what's been keeping me so busy. You can see coyote calling has not strayed to far from my mind in the last couple years.

She's the most special little girl in the world. And I mean that!

Yeah tell me about it. Last Sunday we went for a ride (She sits in the saddle while I ride on the horses rump). And that little thing, can say wooo with the best of em!! It's pretty much her favorite thing to do. Walk 5 feet, say woooo, stratch the horses neck, walk 5 feet, say wooo, scratch the horses neck, and repeat. Takes about 2 hours to cover an acre, but man it's fun!! I look forward so much to being a dad that it's those silly things that bring the most joy.
