Went looking for tracks in snow and only got scenics.  The small falls below has been posted before, but this time it has a cone of ice built up at the bottom.  The hole in the top of the ice bowl is 6-8 feet diameter I'd guess.

A multi-level pond contained by old beaver dams on a creek.  The snow is over a foot deep on the level.

Looks like a reverse osmosis type volcano :yoyo:.  Funny to see water and ice together like that.  Thanks  :bowingsmilie:

Very cool. Mother nature never runs out of ways to awe us. That beaver damn is really cool.

Thanks for sharing those.

Yep, very cool !
It can be pretty wild how ice can
form differently around running water.
Thanks

Neat looking "volcano effect"!

Yep, it really has that volcano look.  Years ago in Wells Gray park in BC, hunting moose in -40 (stupid) we went over to  Helmcken Falls.  A river runs off an undercut cliff, drops over 400 feet, and the ice from spray and splash had built up over half way to the lip of the falls.  It was a huge cone over 200 feet high I'd guess, weighed tons and tons.  The hole in the top of that cone was a good 40 feet across or more, with a river pouring into it and running under it out the bottom somewhere.  Wish I had a pic of that.

Just did a google search and came up with the link below.  Not nearly as high a cone as we saw but it gives the idea.  Helmcken Falls with ice cone below.

Hawks Feather

Neat pictures.  I have been watching a few of the Alaska Highway Patrol shows and they have had some great shots of the mountains too.
