New Call Design

After a bit of thought I decided I would change the design of my closed reed calls a bit
and I knew I would have to find the perfect piece of wood for this one so a search in the shop and I came up with this

I couldn't wait to fire up the saw and cut a chunk of this wood,looks perfect
I even drilled it off center for the perfect sounding call.
I didn't sand or finish the inside of it cause it would take away from the natural beauty of what this wood has to offer
I sanded it all the way to 60 grit and splashed on a bit of oil for some finish
It is voiced raspy and sounds great

Thanks Bill. I thought I'd give it a try since my wife is out of town. I had no idea our broom has a metal handle.

Does the rest of the broom come with the call? (it's always better when I get the wife a gift too, when I order calls! )

Todd I can't let that one go for I will need it when I make more of these

as you can see there will be a limit on the # of of calls made from this stock and then I will have to change my design again

I am gonna have to put both you on my Pro Staff

With the effort that is going into this new design I didn't have the time to think of all these fancy names
