So this morning a buddy and I were watching the field with spotting scopes...saw the jakes moving across the field...they got right to the tree line and all of a sudden started acting spooked and turned around and started walking off...all of a sudden they jumped up and started flying and these 2 kids come out of the trees blasting several shots at the flying birds...with 2 older guys...youth season...the birds flew across the field...the hunters gathered...headed across the field...stood there awhile talking inside the edge of the field...all of a sudden 1 kid raises his shotgun and shoots...he heads into the woods, comes right back out with a jake! ...I wonder how many of the other ones are walking around with pellets in them?...way to teach your kids guys !!
