Unfortunately, this buck gets a "pass" as according to TPWD he's an illegal buck.

Texas Parks and Wildlife a few years ago in their ultimate wisdom instituted an antler restriction (AR) policy. Now, in order for a buck to be legally killed, he must have an inside spread of 13" or greater between the main beams OR must have at least one unbranched antler. Unless of course the property/land hunted is under MLD (Managed Land Deer) 2 or 3 (serious deer management programs). The place I'm hunting is free-range native deer (no fence, no introduced genetics)

Because of this asinine policy, there's bucks with chitty genetics breeding (like this one) when they should be culled from the deer herd. If you want BIG deer with nice head gear, gotta get rid of the crappy bucks (1.5+ yo spikes, forks, no brow tines, lopesided antlers, etc.) before they start breeding!

Nice looking deer.
Nice clarity and definition on those shots, that is one heck of a trail camera
