Well the world famous Carolina Coyote and myself hit the backwoods this morning for a few stands.

We started out a little before daylight with a few howls just to see if we could get an idea of what was around. Well that was a total waste of time. Not one coyote wanted to talk back. So we start walking to towards the other side of the road. We made a couple of awesome stands with the only thing called in was a big doe deer. She came a charging in.

We crossed back over to the side of the road we started on and setup down in the creek bottom. I had CC's Mojo critter out and was using the electronic. I started out with some kitten in distress for a few minutes. Then I turned it over to canine puppies.

At about the 15 minute mark I thought I seen some movement out at about 300 yards. But I never saw anything else for about 30 seconds. About that time this coyote runs in and stops looking at the Mojo Critter. When it did, I drilled it with the .223 at about the 100 yard mark, it was DRT!

This farm has produced 7 black coyotes for me over the years.  I killed two there last year. With this black coyote that make a total of 10 black coyotes called in, with a 100% fatality rate on them.

Oh yea, I could never forget that. I have called up 2 coyotes with it so far this year. It's like Mastercard, you don't leave home without it.  :eyebrownod:
