We've been getting some warm days, so I decided to go fishing today. I took my boat to Laurel Lake. Got there about 10am. You woulda thought is was Labor Day weekend. The lake was packed with boats. Plus there was a fishing tournament going on too. The water temp was 49* so I was fishing kinda slow. After a couple hours with no bites, I put on a deep diving, pearl colored wiggle wart. The 1st cast, BAM!! A 17" smallmouth hit it. I was cranking it pretty fast too. So I stuck with that for a while. I caught 2 trout, then a bass that was close to 4 lbs. Not too bad for the 1st trip out this year.

I'm refusing to read this :pout: cause we still got ice to deal with.
I'll come back in a month or so and read this when the water temps warm up.

Oh by the way...nice paddy wagon.  Nope, I didnt look...someone told me about it. :innocentwhistle:

Way to go Ed,  :yoyo: you're certainly having better luck than me. Good looking truck, and the color matches the boat.

Looks like you had a great day on the water. Can wait till I have time to get out and scare some fish.
