Anyone ever use this trap?

It's a snare.... fancy & relaxing, but a snare, which is not currently legal in NC. I have heard they work well, but they are fairly new so not sure how unbiased the current feedback is.

I have used them when was in Texas. I tend to lean toward conventional snares. The collarum that I used, I quickly found that they were absolutely no good to me when it iced. IMO, it's actually too complicated for it's intended purpose. And it's still a snare by law, so it might be illegal in your state, as they are in Oklahoma. As you can see in the pictures ... domestics are still vulnerable ... and the general population will still only think that a snare has their pooch.

Now if you also look at the picture close enough, you will notice a "Circumference Stop" on the cable. Stops are only adequate if the animals neck is smaller than the closure with the stop. If the animals neck is not smaller ... then it will still be a spring loaded kill snare.

Invest your money wisely. Trappers are like fishermen and golfers ... they always want the "newest" thing on the market ... even if they will never use it or even if it is not practical.

Snares are legal in most of Tennessee, but I don't think they are in East Tennessee. Still a cool looking gizmo..........I'd love to try it. Anyone watch the two minute video on it.........it was awesome!!

I did...It's amazing how gingerly they appraoch the set as if they KNOW there's a huge risk involved. 
Then all of a sudden WHAMMO!
