I really do appreciate what you do, but I also really wish that you didn't have any work to do.  Stay safe.

Thanks guys, I will do my best to be safe. Hoping to make enough money this summer so I can make it to the LBL this year.

You got your hands full but we know you can handle it. Apparently someone else does too.

It got alot bigger today, north side of the division i was working in, i was on the south side. Smoke column was ice capping. Heard on the radio fire was two miles wide and moving. My side held but the wind was in my favor.

Still getting bigger, winds shifted and came my direction. Its now 317,600 acres. But there is an end in site. Plan for tomorrow is fly us in with enough MRE's and water for three days, and put indirect handline while burning out as we progress, so we have good black to get into if something should go wrong. Gonna be a few days without cell service, but will keep you guys up dated when I come out. Have some photos on my phone, can't seem to post them though.

Nor-cal, I can't express much I admire you and your work.  Fighting range fires in sage and wheat was the hardest work I've ever done in my life and I've never forgotten either the sweat nor the danger.  Be safe as you wrap up this big one.

nor-cal yote

Well we got line around it, if we can hold it through this wind event for the next two days. There are a ton of green islands with heat in them in the interior. Over 200 miles of line, with all of fingers and turns. Fuel types are pinion juniper ans sage brush. Seeing a ton of coyotes and tracks.
