I like it though.  :congrats:
I wish I would have known you had these abilities a couple years ago when I was looking for someone to custom build my two girls each jewelery boxes for Christmas.

Thanks Pat!!

:laf: @ Jim. The camera always adds 15lbs & it can also remove unsightly errors if the angle is right.  :laf: :laf:  I just play around a lot with this stuff is all. I'm hoping someday to be able to make 1 project from start to finish without any problems. I also see something I like then instead of going by the plans that are available I just wing it to make it my own. Maybe I should use the blueprints huh??  :laf: :laf: Thanks!!

The West wall of our dining room was the original outside wall of the house. Then they added the 3 rooms across the back & wrapped it around North side & built that old porch I tore off. Well they never took the windows out of the wall. The right window looked right into the bathroom. lol So I took the window sashes out & built a gun cabinet & installed it in there. Used it for quite a few years before I got the gun safe. When we remodeled the laundry/bath rooms right there I took the cabinet out & gave it away to an upstart hunter. I put a 2x4 in flat to catch the new drywall. I had an idea in mind that Diane accepted.  :whew:  I told her I wanted to put some 1/2" plywood in the back & along the sides, top & bottom. Then cover the edges & the remaining gap with some Poplar 1x3 & paint it to match. Then put some screws in so should could hang her Family pics. This is what I came up with. Still have to fill the nail holes & do some sanding. Then Diane will decide on colors & primer & paint it. Took a total of 6hrs this past rainy Tuesday. Coulda done it in 4 but why rush things on a day off in the middle of the week right??  :innocentwhistle:

Before.   obviously :rolleye:

Thanks Jim. Actually the blue doesn't look that bad with the antique white over the whole room. Besides I came home from work one day & it was all painted & I never lifted a brush once out there so I LIKE IT!!   :laf: :laf:  Yeah she does keep me moving a little bit.     Now get busy & do those things that need doin!!  :yoyo: :yoyo:

I was going to say how much I liked the blue accent trim around the curio cabinet as it added a flare of highlight that touched of the new decor recently started in high fashion.  Then I read that it was pained over and though how great it was that Glen is now being back to being like the rest of us.    :iroll:

Nice :congrats:
I'm trying to make out the image in the walnut frame.  Is it an actual mirror, or a picture in there?

 :eyebrow: You tell me!!  :innocentwhistle:

It's a mirror.  :laf: :laf:

Here's another one. I made 2 of these & they turned out purdy nice I think.  The curl in the 1/4 sawn Ash really came alive with the stain & shellac.
