Didn't get out much over Christmas by the in laws but went up Thursday to my son's buddy's place near Wisconsin Rapids. They were trying to fill their deer bow tags most of the time and I just went for coyotes.
It was snowing when we got there through most of Saturday with little to no wind.  They told me some places to try and I found a couple of my own.
They were right about this place.

My son said to sit on some log piles and do some screaming. Had a male come in from the left of tree in the middle, stop behind a bush with only his head showing then come towards me looking for the dieing rabbit. He crossed behind the tree and was just to it's right and stopped before I did a bark. I was there less then ten minutes. Getting up on the log pile took longer then the set did
He was easy to spot with all the jumping he did to get through the snow and branches.

He got it middle of the chest and it came out behind the right ribs with no expansion, I guess it didn't hit anything solid. He headed back to my left, where he came from and made it about 5 yds before resting. I was busy loading another round and doing some ki yi's. Nothing more came in.

The Carver call I used  is laying on the gun which is a MOA Maximum single shot 6.5x284, using Hornady 95g bullets. Just ran out of Nolser so thought I would try these, guess they work.

Even when I don't get anything there is always something to see.

Thanks
He looked reddish when he came in but there are black streaks running through him along the back.  No mange that I could see either.  :congrats:
Of course my bp and heart rate were running high so I am surprised I noticed any color when he came in. (notice my handle -yotefever) He filled up the scope at 4.5 power being so close, he was hard to miss once I took some deep breaths. Those years of pistol silhouettes really helped.

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

Nicely done!  Good photos.  That is a super round to be shooting.  I had no idea you could get something like that in a handgun.
