Some of you might remember  a few yrs ago i took a young man on his first deer hunt and he killed a doe. Well i got to take him out this weekend again, we went to a blind were id been seeing a really nice 10 pt sat but he got cold and we left early 15 degs . We went back sun to 33deg temps and waited them out. The 10 didnt show up but this 4 pointer did! The 243 found its mark and he was the happiest young man ive seen in awhile. Carter has a rough life his mother died when he was a baby and his uncle died 3 yrs ago at 29 . I help when i can if his grand parents get him for the weekend.
Thanks for looking
Dan

Dave

I remember him.
Great job to you both r-boss:  to you for caring enough about him and getting him involved with a lifelong activity, and to the young man on on his first buck!  I remember my first buck and that was 40+ yrs ago.  Thanks for posting

It is a great thing you are doing for (and with) him.  I am sure that he will remember it for the rest of his life.

Thanks guys i really feel blessed to get to know him and share time with him. I dont know who was more excited me or him!
We do alot of fishing and turkey hunting when hes around but he hasnt been getting to see his grand parents very regular.
But they now have grand parent visitations every other week so we will get more time. Hes a great kid but at the age of 14 the girls are starting to factor in a bit lol!
