One day, an internet smart mouth. Asked me, "How is it you can tell a female from a male coyote from long range, when they look nearly identical?" I replied, "I watch them pee".

At moderate to close range of Red Fox. Other than the obvious(in your face cues)/visual signs. I look at the slope of their forehead. Females, being more gradual, tapered & slender. A Male's forehead slope, being more abrupt/steep.

It is true, by paying attention to the slightest of details. You tend to learn something.

You don't really want to know?  :nono:

Alright here goes. I urge everyone to follow suit. 1st roll on a road killed skunk(squashed is even better). That has been basting in the Sun for 2 wks(make sure its real ripe...it helps). Then slip on wire mesh camo suit stuffed with ditch grass(avoid yellow dried stinky grass). cuz a mule pee'd there). Then commence to squalling like a 21.7 lb vole. Click...click...click
