I had posted a link to a video about a big KY bobcat. Several views and no comment so I figured "oops" wrong section, wrong post, somethings amiss with this so I deleted it.   :doh2:

I tried the link but could not see anything so did not comment.

It happens often that such links don't work for me because my computer is in Canada.  Not sure why but many US sites won't let me see their stuff.

From your original post as I recall it somebody got pics of a huge bobcat in KY.

I saw it when it was first posted. Some really good video of a bobcat coming to a call. Try posting it again.

I couldn't see the vid either. But I do know the farmer didn't allow shooting bobcats on his land so the kitty walked

I re-posted the link in the first post above.  See if it works now.

I get a small black circle with a diagonal line through it, with something about YouTube in the http line at the top.  So I went to YouTube and looked for Kentucky bobcat.  Found several such videos, none of the recent.  Any more clues as to which video it is on Youtube?  Usually I can watch YouTube videos if I go directly there.

FWIW right NOW is the best time of year to call bobcats.  Get after um!

Thanks!  This time it worked great.

Sure looks like a big bobcat alright, with the heavy belly like old males.

I can't imagine setting up to try to call something onto ground so open, which shows my limited hunting skills.  Then I can't imagine the cat crossing so much open ground in mid-day, but he did.  It worked and made for a great video.  Those cats just can't keep their tails still!

That's great, I know we have them around here but never see them. I would love to get one some day !

Yep.  The bobcat hunting season runs through February 29.

Isn't it rim fire only for bobcat in ky?

This is taken from the LBL Small Game and Waterfowl Hunting Info pamphlet:

Bobcat, Otter Kentucky - The bobcat and otter hunting season is Dec 1-Feb 29.  Statewide limits apply and all bobcats and otters must be Telechecked and tagged according to state regulations.  Bobcats and otters may be hunted during daylight hours only.  Legal weapons are those specified for small game hunting, for deer archery hunting, or for coyotes  during the Feb. season.  Hand, mouth, or electronic calling devices are permitted.
