My wife woke me this morning.........

.......and said she wanted to go fishing.  Only a fool would refuse that request, so we headed to the lake.

Her first fish of the year:


My first bass, a nice 15-incher:


She caught a few more keepers.....


......which ended up on the cast iron griddle......


......and then on the plate with pickled okra, tomatoes, great northern beans, and corn bread. And, of course there was sweet tea.

Next time you need to put a hook (like you have) on her line and allow her to catch some big fish.

She cooked the beans and corn bread, Carl, but made me cook the fish.  The pickled okra was given to me at LBL by WldWldWest, and man is it tasty.
