I have seen video of deer eating baby birds and eggs out of a birds nest. I have personally seen squirrels eat baby birds as well. So while this is somewhat disturbing it isn't really suprising. Lots of herbavores chew on bones for minerals.

I have heard of this before but it seems the deer are always chewing on bones when they are caught,so could it be they are after the minerals in the bones
