So I bought a new fishing reel off the same site that I have been buying lures from in China. I bought the largest model 7000 which has 12+1 ball bearings etc. etc. all the information is on the website I have used it for a couple weeks  and so far it has worked beautifully. Silky smooth drag n retrieval mostly all metal great finish really fancy looking actually. All for $25!

We are fast moving to where the only things made are made in China...   :innocentwhistle:

Good looking reel!

When your kids are made in China I'm thinking there may be a revolt.

China is the new Detroit....😉

OK, don't tell anybody but PM me a link to the China lure site.

I fished last week with a friend who likes to troll flies and tiny spoons for trout.  We caught our limits of 5 each, the smallest a fat 16 inches and the biggest almost 20 inches.  Red meat, delicious.  I smoked three of them, my best job yet of smoking fish.  Pure gourmet stuff.   Wife loved it.

But to meander to my dull point, when we didn't catch anything trolling the first hour or two, I tried jigging with a small 3/4 oz. salmon jig, a minnow shape painted like a rainbow trout.  Had seven hits and hooked three within an hour, all of them larger than our average on the troll.  I think bigger fish like the larger minnow looking lures.

Which brings me to rainbow trout looking plugs from China...

In case Pitw wants some too :innocentwhistle: :innocentwhistle:

This is my other favorite place where I bought the $.95 umbrella rigs:

Check that place often because they have some unbelievable deals and sometimes change their sales on a daily basis.

Wow. Thanks!   Lotsa fishing stuff, but they seem to be out of the lures I want most, which are smaller size plugs that look like rainbow trout.  They have a heavy sinking plug with the tie eye on top, which I'd like to try jigging, but they are out of my color.  I will check it often and pounce.

Give us a report on that reel after awhile.  Lots of good features but it says that the handle is aluminum.  I would think that would turn your hand black.  Duct tape to the rescue!

My hands won't turn black if I'm wearing my Kevin Vandamme Spanish fighting bull leather Teflon Kevlar titanium fishing gloves!  :innocentwhistle: :innocentwhistle:

I don't know about rainbow trout but I know brown trout get a certain size and then feed almost entirely on other fish  and that includes other brown trout!

Yah  they're sold out of the good stuff. So if this is Wlure and all they have is lures, where do we look at the plastic/ soft baits?
