 If I had to guess I would say Weights or Sinker Stones Used for fishing by Native Americans.

I'd guess anchors used by Greek fishermen, likely ancient ones plus maybe a net sinker.

They could be Native American but I have found a lot of Indian sinkers along the Columbia River, plus seen a lot more and none were as sophisticated as these.  'Course, like modern times, maybe the East Coast Indians were more sophisticated than us unlettered westerners.

You nailed it!

I have been to the Maryhill museum, though it has been years, and don't remember those, and this proves again that my rememberer gets more defective every year.  All the sinkers I recall have been round or flat rocks with a groove around the middle so a rope will stay in place.  In the Greek Islands my wife and I saw current Greek fishing boats that were using ancient pieces of cut stone or statues for anchors.  A museum would drool to get such artifacts. 

The most fascinating thing about the Maryhill museum is the story behind that mansion, built by railroad baron Sam Hill on a desolate wind swept bench of volcanic desert above the Columbia River.  No town near and almost nobody lives anywhere near it to this day.

Naugh, them there are cheese pieces, FnF. They are net sinkers for nets.
