I was not involved in Operation Enduring Freedom but had numerous friends who were and I helped train some of them.  A group of them got together and sent me this as a belated retirement gift and a thank-you for my help in their training. There was a tearful note also enclosed that I cannot read without it bringing a tear to my eyes. Due to my age and health, I gave the Beretta and the note to my daughter Mandy, who also served, she also cried when she read it.

   With the issue number on that pistol slide it is easy to see that they held you in the HIGHEST regard. Thanks for all that you have done over the years to keep us free.
