Junior did some excavating and captured a trophy class clam. He turned his back to do some more digging and a great black back gull stole his clam! They are the largest seagull in the world. It was hilarious because the kid was totally baffled that his clam disappeared.

Let me tell you those birds are super smart and aggressive and have zero fear of people. Another one snatched a sandwich right out of my sister's hand that day, scared the shit out of her ha ha. As far as them eating clams they fly them up in the air and drop them on the rocks to break them open.
