Special order...

Here's one I finished today....not been spending much time in the shop of late. This one is a special order, along with a matching coaxer....gotta get busy on the coaxer!! At any rate, I thought I would show ya'll this one. After all the beautiful stuff I have seen posted of late, perhaps I should wrap this one in a brown paper bag, and keep the pics to myself. But, since I haven't made anything much lately, I wanted to show ya'll I was still alive...so......here goes 

It is the "Silver Snake" pattern, pearlized acrylic. It features a stainless steel accent band and the insert is made from Indian Ox horn...the blondish color of the horn seemed to lend itself well to a union with this piece of acrylic, at least to me. The insert and the corresponding hole are tapered, and utilize an "O" ring fit. It is tuned with a JC sleeve and JC brass reed, sounds great in the horn.

The calls a beaut!! The barrel has some nice color contrasting swirls in it. 

Could to see your keeping the skills hoaned. Now lets see that coaxer.

Brown paper bag would just go over my head.  That call is a looker and to me looks like it would fit very nicely in a hunter's hand.  Like Todd, I am glad to see that you had a little time to spin.  How was the concert?
