I have been wanting to get a Semi-Auto Shotgun for Waterfowl season (Sat. Sept. 1st) and Crow Hunting,,I have HEARD all sorts of Horror Stories on the "NEWER" 1100's & 1187's  :doh2: and I have been told that a Stoeger Model 2000 is made from the SAME Inner Parts that they put in Benelli's but use different stocks     I have heard that the
SX2 (Winchester) is made with the SAME EXACT Parts as the Browning Gold Semi-Auto Shotguns,,because the Company that owns Browning Bought the Winchester SX2 Line ???   I REFUSE to pay $1500 for a Damn Benelli
Semi-Auto  :shck: :shck: :shck:
So I guess my Questions are : Does anyone have ANY experience with the "NEWER" Remingtons,,or the Stoeger Mod 2000
OR the Winchester SX2 ??? I have ALWAYS hated Winchester Shotguns,,NOT the old Model 12's,,But the Winchester 1200
1300 and so on...But this SX2 I looked at today wasnt that Bad of a Gun,,But as MUCH as I have said to my friends that I will NOT EVER Buy a Winchester Shotgun,,,1 friend would Roll over in his Grave and the REST would NEVER let me hear the end of it  :nono:  so ANY help or Stories that YOU know of,,not the here say Stories,,but actual Stories of you or close friends
would be GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!
Thank You Very Much !!!

or http://www.jaquas.com/  to get into their site without the search

Jaquas has some VERY high end firearms, but usually have a pretty good supply of used firearms as well.  Most have been "fairly" priced - they are not giving them away, but they aren't marking their used prices higher than retail.  They also do a pretty good job on the description.

Thank you for the reply,,I will check them out,,I am leaning towards the Benelli for the $1500,,but it is HARD  :puke: to pay that much for a SHOTGUN  :doh2: I will use it quite a bit,,it just Pisses me off that I have ALWAYS been a Remington guy,and I will NEVER sell my Remington Sportsman "Magnum" because they are getting higher in Price,,plus I can beat the heck out of that Gun and it keeps on going,,so my FIRST thought was an 1100 or 1187,,but with ALL the Horror stories of the newer ones,,it is something to think about,,I would hate to have Geese,Ducks or Crows dropping by for visit and have the Gun "Lock up" on the first shot  :mad3: Thats why I figured on hearing stories,,good or bad
BUT I will check this site out,,and I thank you once again Jerry

The Benelli SBE II is a great gun and you won't go wrong.  It was NRA shotgun of the year in 2005.  I've shot a SBE for over 10 years and never had a single problem.  Shoots everything.  Extremely reliable.  Not heavy.  A great waterfowl or turkey gun.  Has 5 chokes.  Only shotgun you need, IMHO.  They can be had locally for in the $1200-$1300 range.

Bob, Why not hit all the gun shows  and just look fer a GOOD, older 1100 ,I'm sure you would find one!    I would Go with the Benelli ,BUT Damn thats a LOTT of MONEY! :noway:  Like you a few years back I was looking to upgrade my shotgun and looked at  a Winchester model, but I didnot care for the SOB. It seemed like it wasn't made too well,  kinda like the  Rem. 870 express's!!  It's a damn shame to have to spend that kinda money for a shotgun, well I hope you at least get a kiss when you buy it ! :rolleye: LOL

I picked-up my 11-87 3 1/2" at Gander Mt. I've bought several used guns there & of course at the right enough price too. :eyebrow: Being a 3 1/2"er it has fed the crow loads I put through it.  Recoil w/ it shooting the 3 1/2" #4 buck load is very manageable. I'm no fan of recoil & I can pop of 2  no problem. Now my SP10 is another story. :shck: That cotton-picker weighs 11lbs & still rocks your world w/ the same payload as the 12ga ... 54 pellets. :nono:

I guess what I'm trying to say is you can pick up an used 11-87 & get plenty a shooten outta them.

Remington has a new one out,  in limited quantities.  Titanium 870 action, bottom eject auto. Worth checking out.

I have ALWAYS had an 870,and I always will,,I have the Sportsman 12 Magnum,,but I want to retire it,,and I loved my OLD
1100's to death,,I guess my Fault was THINKING that Remington would ALWAYS put out a Good Product,,and what is KEEPING me from Buying a new 1187 is that I have heard a TON of Horror Stories on the 1187's and I have heard QUITE A FEW people say that Remington does Honor their Warranty,,all 3 times in 1 year,,I have had a few people tell me that their ENTIRE Waterfowl Season was Ruined because of a Faulty 1187 or newer 1100,,BUT I dont want to pay $1500 for a damn Benelli either,,I do not believe that a Shotgun has just as many "Tight Toleranced" Parts as a Rifle,,everything is Crucial on a Rifle to achieve Great Accuracy,,and the Tolerences and work on a Rifle are much more crucial than on a Shotgun,,so I can not see Benelli justifying $1500 for a Shotgun,,WITH ME,,anyway,,But I have always done research and Got a lot of opinions on Handguns and Rifles before I Bought one,,and I never shopped for a Shotgun,,like I said,,if I wanted a Semi-Auto,,I would just skim the papers,,find an old reliable 1100 and never give it another thought,,but in this day and age of Gun Makers trying to cut cost's ,I guess it pays to do the research now,,BUT ALL of you guys have been VERY HELPFUL !!!  :highclap: :yoyo:
Vic,,when was your 1187 Made ??? I dont even need a gun that shoots 3  1/2" Shells,, another Problem is that I know there are good 1100's and 1187's out there,,But I need a General time of when Remington Started getting "Frugal" and started cutting back on their cost,,this Shotgun Shopping is making me lose hair !!!  :madd: nah,,not really,,I have plenty of hair,,but I dont need hair,,I need a Shotgun
has anyone heard anything about a Beretta 390 ??? Good or Bad ??? is it worth $700
I called our "Local" Gun Supplier and he isnt even allowed to sell a Benelli,,Beretta,,Stoeger or Franchi because his "Markup" isn't HIGH ENOUGH !!! what the hell ? I hate to take a Chance and Buy a Gun off of Gun Broker or one of the Gun Auction sites ??? has anyone EVER bought a Gun off of one of these sites ??? Sorry about being Long winded,,but I am trying to get as much info as Possible before I take the Plunge
Thank you ALL very much,,again

I shot prefrugal 1100's and 1187's all my life. Never had a lick of trouble with them and believed they were the best out there. About 9 years ago, I bought a Benelli SBE. The Beneill, in my opinion, is much better than the Remington's. Very reliable, tough, and shoots just about anything you want to run through it with no hiccups.
You can find Beneilli shotguns for around 800 dollars. Ive seen them at that price on more than one occasion.

Thank you very much for the Link to the Remington 105cTi,,I watched both Video's,,it DOES look like it is a heck of a Gun
I KNOW Carbon Fiber is TOUGH as heck,,I wonder how it will hold up with an Explosion underneath of it ??? I am going to search all I can find, and read everything I can find on it,,I am nervous as hell about buying a Remington, with all the Horror Stories,,BUT I have been trying to talk myself into a Remington Shotgun,,an 1100 or a 1187, and now I have the 105cTi to think of,,,that 105(Howitzer) CTi does look good  :wo: I never heard that Remington even had a new Model out,,so you were a BIG help Nailbender,,you were ALL a big help ,and I thank you for all the help you guys gave me
Thank You Very Much

If you can find one, the frenchi 912 is a nice shotgun, another benelli built gun without the price.  This Shotgun is 3.5", came with 3 chokes and a hard case for 720.00  A pic of it

If I had the $$$$ my next would be or will be in the future a Beretta Extrema2

Here's a bit on another forum about that Remmy 105...

QuoteSome of you might not know, me included, that the present 105 in production is a field model only. That means it's not intended for light loads.

When Remington sent out the 105 to gun testers who write articles, some were told the 105 needs a minimum load. And that a DIFFERENT model to shoot light loads and rocks was in the works

So you may want to wait on the 105 if the better gun is to come, but its also rumored that they're making 2 models of the same gun, anotherwards one to shoot the magnums and the other trap loads trying to make an extra $$$$ so people purchase both

This is just what I've read with no personal hands on input.

Here's my dream gun :) The Extrema2 in Max4

Here's my 1187 that I'm currently shooting.  I got lucky with this one for its had no problems.  Plus I got 2 different 870's for back up.. ones 3inch and the other 3 1/2.

Oh my gosh! :shck: That gun's bigger than you are!
