Could have been firewood

My brother saved so cherry burl sections when he was cutting firewood one day. This piece came from more of the main chunk rather than the burl. Its got one of my maple tone boards on it.



The shell is a 30-06 next to it (sorry that the pic is sideways).

Nope.....I did the same thing. 

What size shell is that? The call looks good, and I like the tone board.
