New e-calls

Every spring Bow manufactures come out with new bows.   I have been hearing the WT, FoxPro, etc. are coming out with new models.  When do the new models typically come out?  Or is there a typical time of the year in which they come out?

Typically I've seen them come out in August and September. I'm going to try and get my hands on whatever the newest models are this fall to do a revamped testing for them all including: Game Traks, Minaska, FoxPro, WT, WR, JS. I'm really hoping I can get some "test" units from some of the companies just to test out and return afterwards, but if not, I'll pay and test them. It should be a great fall for guys in the e-caller market, there are some awesome things coming down the pipes it sounds like.

There is a lot of advertising hype and little improvement in the units they bring out yearly. Seems they think whistles and bells will sell, and they may be right. I want quality, not another complicated TV/VCR remote.

The new sounds coming out are better than ever in my opinion. The FoxPro new Mark II library is the best sound quality and sound content around, if you haven't heard them yet? Most of the new FoxPro and Minaska  sound sequences are fairly long too. Minaska has added some really good sounds to their library this year as well. If you look at the sound libraries over the past 3-4 years, you can see who has been adding to their libraries consistently and adding sounds that customers are searching for. I keep a pretty good eye on the sound libraries and can tell you who has added what and when.

Yes, I have a WT2030 and I really like most things about it especially the quality of the sounds it has and the fact it has the electronics to reproduce the sound. I would like to be able to edit the sound and maybe add some of my favorite JS sounds to the unit. I also have a Minaska Ultimate one. I had a FP and sold it at a tremendous loss.

I think some of the fox pro sounds are a little cheezy I wont say wich ones but I wish they would work on em.

The competition between the E-call makers is a good thing. We the buyer will ultimately benefit.

I'll stay with what I have until something better comes along.

a little cheesy Al? Some of the sounds on the fox pro are mouth calls for the coyote and i am not looking for mouth calling on an e- caller. I would like to see fox pro come out with more live coyote vocals, I have plenty of mouth calls. Al one of those cheesy sounds helped u kill ur coyote the other day didnt it?  :roflmao:

I am just saying if I payed that much for something I would hope all the sounds would sound better than me and my mouth calls.......Some of them do not

most E-callers have "cheesy" sounds. But the way I look at it is you can spend $600 plus on an E-caller and get possibly cheesy sounds OR spend a little more and get all live recordings.

It is what is important to you, good sounds or a cute little plastic toys.

Basically you want your caller to CALL animals, and in some areas I think good sounds could make the difference.

I know what you mean about some of the sounds not being the best. I had a list of a few sounds that I thought should be eliminated, so I talked to Steve about it. I guess that some sounds that one guy thinks is terrible, turn out to be another guys favorite. I suppose it is like fishing lures. The lure that I threw away because I knew it was junk, is favorite lure for someone else.
