When turning this one this dark spot showed up.It does not go all the way through it is just on the one side and it is starting to fade away

It just looked interesting and thought I would share it with ya'll

Is it starting to fade because of being exposed or due to sanding?  As long as it holds it sure makes it unique, and that is usually a good thing.

It is starting to fade due to sanding. If you look at the call you will see what looks like a crack with white in it.
That is maple wood showing up again, and I could either turn or sand the dark off of the call but then it wouldn't be so unique
