Been working on some calls this week. This is my first laminated call. I was suprised how straight it turned out. Of course, It's Maple and Cedar. The other is my first cowhorn howler. There is no lanyard groove because it is just for display. I'm going to take the end that I cut off and make a stand for it. I'll give before and after pics of the horn. Man thats alot of sanding. I'm trying some different designs on my turned calls. Hope you like these better. Thank for looking. Dusty

Dusty,

I like the looks of the finished call better than the beginning stock.       The limination seems to be working well for  you and I like the wood combination.

I like em .....I wish I could find some cow horns around here........that plain maple looks good with that cedar I may have to try that. Why is the bell hole so small? And what is the voice?

I'm having a hard time finding more cowhorns. I just bought a buttload of Springbuck horns the other day. I actually voiced it today. I used a LV002 reed just barely bladed. I made the bell hole small to create more backpressure. Giving it more rasp. It's not extremely loud but it's got some awesome sound. I've been in the shop working all day on a new laminate. I should get my Cedar back in about 3 weeks then you'll get sick of seeing Cedar from me. Thanks for the comments.
