Bills Custom Calls

It has been a rough evening around here.We have had several tree limbs come down and one tree just missing the
deck by inches. The chicken house has been flipped over backwards don't know if the chickens have survived or not.We have lost power it has been out since about 6pm ( Thank God for generators ) and candles. We have had wind gusts around 70 mph.The winds are starting to slow down some now but it could still be a rough night.

I will have pics to post later and a small video of how the trees were bowing to these winds

Keep er safe

I took a weeks vacation from work to get caught up on some work that need to get done before winter
and now the work load just got bigger.

Most of the trees that have fallen are a soft maple I will get them cut up and they will help keep me warm next
winter

Anyone up for some chicken stew BBQ chicken what about wings  :rolleye:

I may have to take 2 weeks to get this all cleaned up

I did have a few trees I have to cut and wouldn't you know it the wind didn't bother them a bit

It has been a little nasty around here and I am sure there are trees down around town.  The one in front of my place is still standing.  Talked with friends in Columbus as they were sitting on their front porch since their power was off.  There was a CRACK and the neighbors tree split.  They had gusts around 50.

Keep your head down.

Hope things ain't too bad for ya Bill. Check with your insurance co. about the trees. They pay off on them here. The wind has one leaning in my yard, but I can't cut it. All the wires, elec, phone, and cable are under it.

Silencer

I cant believe the wind we're getting here this morning, didnt think it would be like this.

Good luck with the clean up Bill, at least everyone is safe.

I will keep everyone updated on the clean up so far we are still without electric, looks like the chickens survived

There went the BBQ.  Which is a good thing.  Sounds like you have enough cleaning to do without needing to clean chickens as well.

Bill,

Sounds like you are lucky that you have a generator.  Otherwise anything in the freezer would probably be thawed.

I'm glad to hear you all made it through safe.

Please visit our ol' buddies over at: http://www.easterncoyotes.com

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

Hawks Feather

Bill,

After thinking about your chickens, I have come to the conclusion that it might be a good thing.  You now have "free range" chickens which will be eating organic foods.  This will increase the resale value of them for either food or breeding stock.  Now if you can just keep the coyotes from eating them you will be fine.

Glad everyone has survived thus far :yoyo: THUS FAR...is that even a proper statement? :wo:

I wanna know how the chicken house got rolled over but yet that tree in the fore ground that looks like it's still in the pot is standing proud and tall..

Oh and I wanted to ask you, did Chris's laundry get dried? Good lord I hope she used GOOD cloths pins or maybe some bar clamps. I'd hate like hell for the neighbors to call up and tell her to come get her underpants off their TV arial. :roflmao:  :innocentwhistle:

I have heard that the eggs from free range chickens go for about $4-5 a dozen so there may be a light at the end of the tunnel here after all  At that rate the chickens will have their house paid for in about 100 dozen eggs  :roflmao:

Jim
The tree in the pot .we Put the pot around that tree Chris wanted a flower bed there and the tree is in natrual ground.

Under pants whats that  Believe it or not we have upgraded to a dryer to dry the clothes,we are really getting modern here in Ohio.

If you are talking about those things flapping in the wind off the porch,at one time those were decortive flags but are now sun faded
